About
I started Electrofawn as a way to honour the quiet beauty I saw in the world around me — a curled leaf, a piece of sea glass, a forgotten drawer of vintage stones. Each piece I create is a response to the moment it came from: a celebration of transformation, imperfection, and memory.
Working from my off-grid, solar-powered studio, I craft each piece slowly and intentionally using foraged, vintage, recycled, and ethically sourced materials. Whether it’s a wild sage ring grown in copper or a luminous pendant made from a century-old glass gem, my work lives in the space between nature and nostalgia.
At the heart of Electrofawn is a belief in wabi-sabi — the Japanese concept of finding beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and the passage of time. That philosophy threads through everything I make, from botanicals cast in metal to glowing fragments of the past reimagined into heirlooms.
There are two main strands in my work:
Nature-inspired pieces, made from real leaves, insects, shells and seaglass — each one unique, unrepeatable, and drawn from the living world.
Époque Lumineuse, a collection of moody, elegant pieces made with vintage glass and forgotten treasures — fragments of light from another time, reimagined into modern eclectic pieces.
Electrofawn is a slow jewellery practice — rooted in respect for the earth, the past, and the stories we carry. Thank you for being here.

At Electrofawn, we recently created these bespoke earrings using the customer's own opals for a personalised piece. Our custom design service brings your vision to life, or have a piece created intuitively for you! Connect with Virginia for your own unique creation.
What is Electroforming?
Electroforming is a fascinating jewellery-making technique that goes beyond traditional methods. It involves the meticulous deposition of metal atoms onto a conductive surface through an electro/chemical process, resulting in stunningly detailed metal pieces that boast a uniquely organic aesthetic. At Electrofawn, we have masterfully incorporated electroforming to elevate natural and ethically foraged elements like leaves, twigs, insect wings, naturally shed antlers and gemstones (actually, just about anything!) into exquisite wearable art pieces that capture the essence of nature's beauty. This technique perfectly embodies our brand's ethos of honouring nature's beauty and advocating for sustainable practices, showcasing our commitment to creativity, individuality, and environmental consciousness.
Each piece of jewellery we create using the electroforming process is truly one-of-a-kind. With electroforming, the original organic element—such as a cicada wing or a fallen leaf—is delicately encased in copper. This means the actual cicada wing is preserved within the copper, creating a unique and intricate piece that captures the natural beauty and details of the original element.
No two pieces are ever alike, as each one retains the distinct characteristics of the individual organic material used. Just as every cicada wing is unique, so is every piece of jewellery, making it as special and unique as the person who wears it. electroformed jewellery not only celebrates the artistry of nature but also ensures that you own a piece that is as singular and extraordinary as you are!
